Suõnn collective

Suõnn collective is an association founded by Skolt Saami artists and influencers.

Suõnn is Skolt Saami and means vein. All members of the Suõnn collective are descendants of Suõ’nnjel. The association’s members operate in the fields of visual arts, dance, music, film and communication and operate in Helsinki and Inari.

The purpose of the Suõnn collective is to promote the activities and cultural cooperation of the indigenous peoples’ creative fields and to support the preservation of the cultures, languages and vitality of the indigenous peoples through artistic and creative activities both locally and globally.

The association produces diverse projects that realize the artistic, cultural or communication aspirations of its members. The association’s aim is to create new, impressive, open-minded and high-quality Saami art in the indigenous art field.
